USB Sound Card vs On Board?

I plan to connect my CarPC via an aux input. Is there any reason why I would want a USB Sound Card (such as the Audigy 2NX?) over my on board audio?

Unless your onboard audio is the Envy 24 bit chipset which I believe is the VIA 1616. If not then the Creative X-mod is an attractive solution if you're playing mostly MP3's.

Worth the cost? I mainly plan to use the PC for Satellite/Nav with some MP3.

There are exceptions but hopefully it helps most people make a decision. I based most of it off of general assumptions when I put it together. So take it for what it is worth.
