Suggestions for an affordable amp?

Ive finally got some halfway decent subs for my car (8" punch stage 1s) and am looking for a better amp than my really cheap BOSS AVA-240. so I am looking for suggestions on a decent quality 2 channel amp to run these subs with in the 100$(plus shipping if applicable) range, new or used i'm not picky. I want something thats gonna give me good sound quality and last a good while. thanks !

eBay might be your best route on a used one. I don't think $100 is going to get you too much if you buy new and you pretty much get what you pay for in amps, not that I'm an expert or anything. I just got a decent 4ch amp to power my door speakers for about $70 with shipping.

well for the subs, you might want to look into mono bass amp.. the a 2 channel. Is you are willing to spend a bit more money.. try to find last years diamond d3 600.1 amp... th;s really a good buy for the money. the amp is actually made by zapco, which is really good amp company.. The d3 600.1 usually go for about 250 or so.

note, the new d3 amps kinda suck. they have the 400 and the 800 and the 800 doesn't come close to what the 600 used to put out.

If your not able to go over $100. I found out that the 8" fosgate stage 1 subwoofer. Is a single voice coil 4ohm 150w rms, 300w peak. knowing that and that you can go with a 2ch setup bridges or unbridged depending on your preference. here our the two UNBRIDGED(http://www.crutchfield.com/learningc...%2DChannel)and BRIDGED (http://www.crutchfield.com/learningc...C&amptype=mono) incase you did not have them. Now going off those wiring diagrams and your subwoofers. I would be looking for a 2x150rms(2x300peak) amp. i looked around and the best i could find keeping you price range in mind would be a lanzar HTG224. Since it has thermal protection and the numbers you are looking for, while still staying in your price range. Now you can find detaled specs at (http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/2732). Now if you go to (http://www.google.com/products) and search for it, you will find it for various prices. So you can find it at a shop that you fill compable buying from.

Well i hope this is helpfull

Just throwing some brands out there-I'd got the used route and pick up a better amp. it's hard to find a good reliable NEW amp at that price.

new
blaupunkt
cadence

used
older PPI/precision power PC series
Kicker ZR series (underrated)
usacoutics (anything built by Zed audio)
older MTX amps
