Ok, So I am hooking up my 12" sub in my 08 escape and am having a little bit of difficulty. I got all the wires hooked up and took it for a test run before I close everything up and noticed that when the car is off and key is out, the ground will spark when taking it off the chasis. I got out the multimeter and it is getting a current. Everything works fine, but when I take the fuse out of my power line it doesnt do it and there is no current. The remote is off so the amp is powered down but it seems like there is some juice flowing thru. Is this normal to have?

The amp has several built in capacitors that will recharge when connecting the ground. This will cause a spark and some current draw. This is normal.
