rookie needs help

i have a kenwood excelon headunit that has a usb port.i want to be able to hook up a hard drive to it but the power supply isnt enough. how would igo about hard wiringa hd in my car? or is therea clean looking, inexpensive alternative? thanks for any help

1 - Why would you post this in a subforum about an entirely different unit (The G4)?
2 - What you want is probably not going to happen. Most headunits with USB ports can only read flash memory drives.
3 - You want an alternative? Install a PC in y9our ride.

1 - This forum is mostly stock vBulletin. The layout is bone stock, so I don't understand your navigational issues.

2 - some models have an add-on module that will allow connection of a USB hard drive. I have heard that some headunits will allow connection of a USB hard drive, but I don't know makes and models.

3 - Learn to navigate this site and learn a thing or three. We're all about PCs in rides here.
