Any idea if there is a plug to bypass the amplifier, or should i just cut the cords on the amplifier and connect the together. let me know what you know. thanks alot.

You connect the remote line out from your HU to your amp?

And you do realize that we do CarPC's here right? Not petty little HU's...

Oh yea! Easily done! Just unplug the in put and output plugs at the amp and hold them really close to eachother with magnents. The sound will jump from pin to pin like electricty, and if its dark you can watch. Seriously please post more info, what kind of car, year. Try metraonline.com or bestkits as well, they will have the partnumbers that you need.

All you need to do is hook up the blue wire on the harness to the blue and white remote turn on wire coming out of the deck and you will have sound.

I dont recall many stock harnesses having a blue turnon lead. In some cases that works, but with alot of newer cars like my Chrysler with canbus it wont work with just tossing 12v to the remote turn on in the factory harness.

Its not blue in the factory harness but when you plug in a wire harness to the factory harness that wire is blue. This is how you turn on the factory amp in most Chrysler's. But yes some of the newer ones need to be totally bypassed. This works for 90% of the vehicles I do them all day long.

see i was hopeing that there is a female plug that you can take out the input and output of the amp wireing harness.. and you can just connect them together. but Jeep/ Chrysler said they dont make one. im not sure... but i have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherrokee, that might help a little bit.

If you want to do that your going to have to go to the amp and find the wires and cut. unless your putting in a 4ch amp and new speakers I wouldn't bother just hook up the turn on and be done.

infinity gold amp

hello,

I know your last comments were old, but I happen to see them and I am looking for a replacement amp for a 1997 Jeep grand Cherokee w/ Infinity Gold system. This is the black amp that is mounted under the rear seats. Please let me know if you have bypassed and are interested in selling. If not, were you able to bypass successfully? I may have to do that also. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Bill
