Stock Amp Question

I have a 2001 Pontiac Aztek with the amplified 10-speaker system. (All wires from the radio go to a small amplifier just behind the emergency brake pedal) What I was wondering if it would be possible to tap the radio outputs and run them through my computer then back out through the amp, that way I will still have full radio functionality, plus have the extra equalizer functions in the computer to tweak the audio a bit more than the stock stereo is capable of, plus I can have the computer preempt the radio's audio for certain events. Would this cause more problems that it would solve? Is it even possible?
