help with acura rsx 2004

yea i been having problems on how connectin the battery wire going from the battery to the inside of the car i cant find a way or a hole trough the engine to pass the cable to the inside of the car can anyone help me alright thank you.............

no its just to connect my amp. But I cant seem to find an entrance for my cable from the engine to the inside of the car. Any answers would help I will apreciate it.

local car audio shops may be able to tell you where you put the power wire through, but your best bet is to just follow the wires from your fuse box, they usually lead to a rubber grommet that passes through the firewall. Just poke a hole in the grommet and shove the wire through.

Depending on the setup for the car computer, you'd probably spend anywhere from $500 for a basic system, up to possibly $2000. Not including any normal car audio components that could be used with the computer system.

If you consider that most in dash aftermarket nav systems are around the $2000 mark, a computer is a great idea; more capability for less money.

I recommend browsing through some of the sub-forums here for ideas, go to the search feature in the top right and look for cars like yours ('show off your project' is a good place for that), also spend some time in the FAQ emporium and newbie sub forums.

I came to this site originally to find out info on connecting my ipod to my aftermarket pioneer deck, then I found out what the site is really about, and I'm well underway to put the 'puter in. Maybe you'll be inspired too.

BTW: Pancit175:
In your sig, it says "Do it right or don't do it all" but then just slightly below that you mention you are considering redoing it... Wouldn't that mean you didn't do it right the first time?

Oh yes, you outted me.

I'm one of those people that needs to have a project to focus on, otherwise I'll go crazy. Thats pretty much how I started with the CarPC. Whenever I have free time, I either become constructive or Destructive. Currently I love the way I have my setup, but currently I'm considering using a dockable laptop. One that I can pull out when I need a portable computer (outside my car of course), and when I get into the car I can just drop it in place. I'm sure someone on here has done it before, but I never rely on how someone else did their setup. To quote Different Strokes, "The world don't move to the beat of just one drum. What might be right for you, may not be right for some." So I'm just weighing out my options and doing research.

anyways, if you want to run a battery wire through your RSX, follow your hood release latch. it should lead to a grommet that goes to the fender and into the engine bay.
