But then the woofer would turn off when i turn the key off. And the rest of the stereo would continue playing until i open the door on this car (or after a time delay of aproximate 10 minutes). or would it keep on as the rest if i use this solution?

Is there anything else around that turned off when the door is opened that you can wire off of or use it to trigger a relay?

Another solution would be to find the wiring diagram for your stereo and tap into the amp remote wire from your head unit. Check the12volt.com or purchase a service manual too find a wiring diagram. If you buy a service manual, i suggest eBay. Of course you can figure out which wire is the remote wire with a multimeter, but it's just so much easier to know beforehand.

Pretty much everything turns of when the door is opened. But if i just sit in the car. Not opening any doors. None turns of on same time delay. Headlamps turns off after a 10 sec delay (configurable in the cars computer) Then i think the instrument lights turns off after a couple minutes. the stereo is the last thing turning off i think. So it seams to me that they are not connected together. Think i have to find some wire from the stereo to give me what i am looking for. It might be a wire to control a power antenna. But i dont know what wire that would be, I don't have a power antenna mounted on the car either.

GiODi: found something on the12volt.com for a 2007 tahoe. Ill try to check if this might be the same colour combination as on my 2005 tahoe pretty soon. Tnx. for the tip.

Ill come back with more info when i have tested some of the info i have found today with your help.

Tnx for your help.

Just use a multimeter to test which wire turns off when you open the door. On mine it was a green one. I tapped my remote wire for my M2-ATX so that the shutdown sequence is not triggered until I open the door. I used the wire that runs to the rear passenger controls for now, until I remove the head unit completely. Then I will run a wire up to dash to power it, but it was handy for now. Here's a pic. It's the white wire that's connected to the green one. Don't pay for some piece of crap "Interface cable". Total waste of money in this case.
