95 BMW E36 325i Convertible Audio

I just recently purchased my second car, (see title) I also have an 02 Ford Focus ZX5 for sale that currently has a carputer installed. In the focus I installed an aftermarket amp (RF P4004) and RF speakers to match. Now with the bimmer it has a ten speaker setup Six in front and four in back. The dect has been replaced with a JVC and all the speakers removed except for the kick panel speakers... which are two way pioneers... Needless to say the audio is quite poor and I would like to install my pc in the bimmer asap. I am confused though as I have heard that some bimmers have factory amps (though not the best) which is a start, but I have not seen one. I have searched far and wide to find the location or even a picture of the amp. Many say it is in the truck on the drivers side under the carpet. I have a convertible and there are motors there, does anyone have more information on this.

Also, I would like to obviously replace the speakers and restore the quality. I know a little bit about audio, but not component systems other than there are more speakers and each one has an acoustical purpose. I have found some sets that are made to fit the odd sizes of the E36 speaker cutouts. I don't know how crossovers work for these or how to hook up an amplifier to a component system. Should I get a four channel amp or something else. I don't want to drop crazy cash on the car right now so if there is a factory amp I would like to use it for the time being, but I know nothing about it or how I would connect to it etc...

Does anyone know how long the runs are for usb and vga from a pc in the boot to the screen in the dash so I can order the cables?

Thanks in advance!
