Car PC -> EQ -> Factory Amp

I've searched the forums but couldn't find this scenario...

I have a honda element with a built in amp. I am wondering if it would be possible to go this route when installing my CarP00Ter...

Can i run the audio out from my CarPuter to an EQ to split up the channels, and then run the output from the EQ to the factory harness. The factory harness will then run through the factory amp and output through the speakers.... at least that's my theory....

(CARPUTER -> EQ -> FACTORY HARNESS -> FACTORY AMP -> SPEAKERS)

This will eliminate the need for a head unit and also the need to replace the factory amp + wiring which is a ****** to access. Can someone with some expertise advise if this solution is doable and/or a even worthwhile?

You never found that link, did you? Why? It's hard to find in the NavBar across the top of the forums, amongst a lot of other crap.

TELL MP3CAR YOU WANT A LINK TO THE FAQ IN A MORE OBVIOUS, NOTICABLE LOCATION HERE.

Excellent! Coming from you DP is very reassuring considering your expertise.

For the EQ, Are you still using the AudioControl 3.1 as shown in your setup?

Thanks for your input!

ik632 is on a distinguished road
I've asked about this on ElementOwnersClub.com and the answers were not much help. I'm actually buying one of the half din eq's and giving this a try. The eq should be delivered some time next week. I'm going to test with a spare honda harness I have. You need to wire the RCA's to the speaker wires (those send signal to the factory amp) then splice into the sub signal (that's a separate small harness plugged into the radio). Once you have done that you are pretty much good to go from what I get.
