Constant 12v Power Supply Help

Hi Guys,

I have just installed a new Pioneer head unit, DEH-P65BT. I took my old head unit out, reconnected the aerial lead and the iso connector, slid the head unit in and switched on, all is ok there.

The problem I have is that it doesnt have a constant power supply so when I swith off the engine and then switch back on it has lost all its settings etc.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what to do,

Thanks in advance

Rob

Most car stereo harness include a constant 12v and a switched 12v line.
I'd suggest checking a site like http://the12volt.com and looking into the wiring for your vehicle to locate a constant 12v.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I have switched the yellow and red wires over and all is well now.

Do you know if it is possible to to connect the vauxhall steering controls to my new head unit?
