zapco: 360.4 vs DC360.4

ok, so i tend to follow "if your going to do it do it right" so with that said i need input on amplifier choice.

Ultimatly i want my PC as the source unit which will control EQ/time delay/crossovers and all that fun stuff, or so i hope. I am using a m-audio 1010 'sound card'

So if my computer will be doing that is their any real argument as to getting the DC amp? i can never see myself running 1/2 or 1 Ohm loads and other than that i cant see the DC being anymore useful, other than it looks better and has some nifty surface features (flush terminal things)

If you will be controling all processing through the PC then you should be fine with the regular REF amps. You will not notice any more power going to the DC amps. I can vouch the REF 360 is an awesome amp.

i'd say either one of them is doing it right. are you competing or is this just for your enjoyment?

What software and hardware are you using in your pc that can perform on par with the DSP in the DC amps?

Old thread i know, but my Search button was working today for some odd reason?

Does anyone know how(and if) under rated the zapco 360.4 is? I know the DLS's say 50 as well but they bench at like 75-85 easily; i am curious to know if this is the same case as Zapco?

Their birth sheets dont give away to much info on the ref amps as far as 4ohm power per channel. They only rate it in a 4ohm bridged config, both of my 360s showed very similar.
