Mp3 Audio format

Im trying to decide whether to get the silverstone dac which has a 16 bit dac and the hippohifi bloat which has 24 bit dacs. My question is if my mp3s on my computer have a 128 to 320 bit rate. What is that in bit depth....would 16 bit be sufficient or would the 24 bit dac be exponentially greater with the type of files I will be playing?
thank you
Ryan

I can't really give you a comparison between 16 and 24 in the car (though I have a Silverstone in my car and a logitech 24 bit system in the house) but I CAN tell you that MP3s lower than 192Kbps sound like crap on my Silverstone. (Using WinAmp and its EQ)

I don't see that changing with a higher bit DAC because you're still working with low quality... Garbage in, garbage out is how I see it.

Just my .02
