actually for a deck you wont have to lose the vents it can be installed into that top area diagonally.

Ok my Car2PC adaptor stoppped working again today it was already RMA'd once, let see if they will replace it again. This is the last chance I am giving the Car2PC guys then I will have to look at alternate solutions.

when mine doesnt work all i do reset the unit by taking off the negative terminal of the battery for a few seconds and putting it back.

The problem i had was that the Car2pc did not respond by pressing the AUX button and it did not receive a signal.

This problem occurred to my setup once, hopefully, this will help ya out.

audiology, Thanks thats the same exact problem I was having. Instead of unplugging the battery though I just removed the Car2PC adaptor and both connections left it unlugged for 30secs and plugged it back in and it seems to be working for now.

Thanks@

this all seems like a lot of stuff you have to do just to get your computer to work every day.that why I did away with the stock head unit. the lower pocket is useless to me because I dont want to take my eyes off the road to see what going on the screen.

I used the car2PC adapter for a few months in my 07. Worked very well. The steering wheel controls made it very nice to manage my music frmo the PC.

But i did try to set it up for an accord with nav and it didnt work well at all..

yeah, that is basic trouble shooting. As for the lower pocket, it is quite low however i don't find myself looking at it much except for changing songs here and there. I do need to look at it for GPS ocassionally because the lower compartment lid covers the top of the screen-- which displays the next turn street/exit.

has anyone reassigned their stock headunit buttons via car2pc for functions other than winamp's playlists? is there a way to have it open applications instead?
