To answer your question: It depends on how much air space is needed for each sub and how big the mounting hole for each sub is.

like Red said it all depends on space and the current ft3 of the box you have now in sealed applications the Type-R only needs .78ft3 net internal volume wheere the W7 needs 1.375ft3, that is going to be the first hurdle to overcome how can I get more space out of a box that is already there and finished. Now without seeing dimensions of your enclosure and not knowing the credentials of yor enclosure builder Im gonna say your current box is most likely to small, but I could be wrong as I know people love to put these in oversized enclosures especially when used in a ported application

The second issues you will have is the mounting hole, at almost a 1/2 inch difference the the W7 having a 10.5" mounting diameter and the type-R needing a 10.9" mounting diameter. Atleast this is an easier fix then the enclosure size.

The third issue you might have is depth. The W7 needs 2" of more depth. Again this is an easier fix the the size of the enclosure.

My advice is to sell your current box and have one made for the W7 if you decide to get one. All woofers have their own characteristics and most of the time need different enclosures asw no one enclosure is built for multiple woofers. yes some woofers will work great in the same encloure but that depends on the Thiel Small Parameters of the woofers in question.
