I saw an add for an alpine mrd-m1005 and a pair of eclipse subs SW7104 for $350. I've been wanting this amp for a while... but are the subs even any good? I dont hear much about eclipse...

If this setup is worth while, I could probably get all for $300

Eclipse is a good brand. At the level you're playing at, any name brand product will do just fine. There's really no discernible difference to the untrained ear.

Just be sure and build an appropriate sized enclosure for the subs.

You think those subs would be worth my money though? Or maybe pick up the amp, and wait for some w6s to show up on craigslist lol.

the W6 is a solid sub. It's more efficient than the W7, but they still require a good deal of power to push them.

Think that alpine can do the job fine? Its 1000watts at 2ohms
