Okay i am running a compaq laptop and i have 2 rockford amps that are being turned on with the 12v ignition wire, one amp powers my speakers and one is bridged to power my subwoofer. Now i am getting power to both amps and i get great sound thru my speakers but nothing comes out of the sub, i know it is all hooked up because the sub with thump when the computer loads up but it wont play any sound. Any ideas why?

what is generating the audio for the sub feed? is it just paralleled off the other amp or are you using a 2.1 or 5.1 setup? tried swapping the rca plugs to the other amp (with them turned off)

what is the sound card? built in or a soundblaster or something?

okay i was reading up on the sound blaster website and i think the problem is i have to set up the sound from the computer into 5.1 sound, after i fix my laptop i will try this out.
