For the year or so I used the Audigy 2NX as my sound card, I didn't use the included software, and I actually thought the sound quality was quite good. It depends a lot what you're running it into as well though.

My 2nx works great, but the my Tweets are crazy loud and i hardly heard the singing part of it... The EQ in the sound card is just BS... Just to get bass you have to turn on CCMS or whatever and then click on surround sound... well that makes that music echo... I have very powerfully system, so i hear it and i hate it.. When i had audio running thru the deck it was perfect..

Are you set up for stereo or quadraphonic or what? Are you connecting your RCAs directly to the 4 channel AMP? Or do you have a graphEQ in between? What's your setup like?

Ok, and are you set up for 5.1 then? Or are you setup for Surround Sound, Quadraphonic, or Stereo?
These will have huge impacts on how the sound is sent to each channel.

In that case, you could do what RedGTIV6 did in her car, you could get a DSP with a optical connection to it. Have that send your signal out to your amps. It's the same car that won SQ competitions.

Also, you are missing out on the center channel. That may be why your sound is off as well.

afaik, the friver only lets you choose between 4ch or 5.1 - you need 4.1 as you don't have a center speaker.
An alternative: set it to 4ch and use the line output of your 4ch amp to feed the sub amp. Use the sub amp's low pass filter.
OR
Search, try and try again, there has to be a solution...maybe using virtual audio cable (software)?
Good luck!

If i were to do that then it will avoid the purpose to the external sound card.. going to 4 channel to sub amp. Also i will have no control over sub amp...

I use a Sherwood X-DTS80 from my sound card to my PG Octane 5.1 Amp. Though I am turning on the amp today. Wish me luck in getting the sound correct.
