Flat Subs

I have been toying with the idea of installing a sub into my car now that i finished the carPC, i still have my old kicker L7 which is in a huge box because it's whats the speaker requires, now i don't know if i'm getting old or what it is, but now i don't want soo much base that it'll make my teeth shake nor do i want to loose my trunk space which are both a side effect on an L7, so i've been looking around for small flat subs which just compliment the pioneer stock speakers that came with my car, this leads me to my 2 main questions:

1. does anyone have experience with them or know how they sound.
2. this is more of a request, could you post any links to retailers selling them? because i've been having some trouble finding a good retailer which sells them.

The rms rating is low, but this appears to be a very efficient sub. Mine is mounted in a sealed 0.8 cu.ft box and I feed it power from an amp capable of 150wrms. Not much power, but wow, this sub is capable of being louder than I need it to be. I would describe the sound as being able to hit very low, yet still sound punchy and smooth.

i can't speak highly enough about parts express and that tang band woofer is pretty similar to the ed low pro sub.

there are plenty of full size subs too that dont take up a lot of space. if you do a search for diyma sub on ebay it'll bring up a 12" sub that only takes .5 cu/ft and concentrates on quality of sound not boomy bass

Scott is that the DIY sub you speak of or an IDQ?

I run the elemental designs sq10 currently, its a decent sub and sounds alright in a .4fts sealed enclosure with 500 watts on it. Specs are almost the same as the Tang Band sub.
