Soundcard to Amp

Hi all.
I am a little confused from the FAQ so im going to ask here. I have a Sound Blaster 5.1 and a 4 channel amp (no sub). Will it work if I connect a 3.5mm to Dual RCA to the front output of the sound card into the fronts of the amp?(same with rears) Will this give me stereo sound? Does the 3.5mm to RCA need to be mono or stero?
Thanks!

Yup, you get the Left and Right channels. You just wont get the Fader control, front and rear, but that's nothing to worry about.

Stereo, and you can still have fader controls, just adjust it by the gain of the amps.

If you use separate wires from front and rear outputs to your amps you should be able to control your fader from the SoundBlaster software. I do this with my X-Fi. Send the LFE to your sub. Really great control that way.

With my soundblaster it wont output to the rear, i had to just use the front 3.5 and daisy chain the 2 amps together, couldnt figure out why it wasnt outputting to the rear 3.5. Other than that it works great.
