just get an appropriate plug from radio shack and wire the 12v and neg lead from the opus to that plug and you're done.

Just came across this thread looking for something else. I have pretty much the same car with an amp hooked up to the puter and the stock speakers. I purchased a PHOENIX Gold XS6600. It's about 275 on ebay but it's a 6 channel amp. This allowed me to hook up all 4 stock speakers and use the other two channels for a bridged subwoofer, and it sounds awesome. A lot better than that piece of junk HU. I also got a wiring harness from crutchfield plugged it into the stock wiring harness, soldered the new speaker wires to it, ran em down the passenger side rail of the car to the amp in the hatch. If I ever want to hook the HU back up all I need to do is unplug it. The whole interior comes apart pretty easy. Goto scionlife.com, there are step by step instructions just search the message board.
