Camaro 1999 Monsoon - Direct Head Replacement - Advise wanted from those who know

Hi All

As you might have guessed by the title I want to "only" replace the head unit in my 99-Z28.

The current configuration is pure factory with a Monsoon Cd.

My mission is to quickly and seamlessly replace the factory unit with one that has:
1. Ipod connection
2. USB connection
3. Cd Text display
4. Auto volume control (the monsoon gets louder as the road noise increases)
5. Connect to the existing harness using the existing amp.
6. Close as possible match the factory look of the Monsoon

Budget is not really the "main" thing for me, but getting a high quality piece of hardware is.
Of course an equal sounding unit is the minimum. Ive been to "ALL" of the usual Sunday afternoon joints like bestbuy so far and find nothing exciting at all.
I did go to a local higher end dealer yesterday, the guy showed me an Alpine that required some modifications needed. Is an Alpine IVA-W505 2 DIN Mobile Multimedia Station any good for my purpose?

My z is a T-Top and in Florida they are off allot. I love music, video and NAV is OK but not my priority.

Thanks for _any_ help
Bob
