Here's one that may stump the experts

So i JUST finished installed in my speakers. beleive me, it wasn't as easy as it sounded. See my thread for detail updates.

So i'm doing the first basic tuning with my pocket pc as the input. I pulled out my eq, since its parametric and God knows i don't know what i'm doing there quite yet, and then i start playing wiht the gain of my Audiocontrol 3xs. and my amp in order to minimize any hissing, but maximize volume (which i may end up having to have an external preamp.

Now here's the kicker. I managed to get it as low as i could, and then i heard a strange sound in the noise. I kid you not, my Pocket Pc was muted, IT WAS PLAYING MUSIC!!! I heard the words, the beat, the harmony, everything, even though the pocket pc was muted, then paused.

So...good tech gurus, i riddle you this:
1) how? I haven't connected my HD radio to it, so it wasn't an audio leak. My stock radio IS still in, so maybe that might be leaking htorugh the ground? And if it is, how is it getting it if the radio is off and the antenna isn't even connected to it.

2) How to get rid of it. When i turn off my tunes, i want it on, not tunes level two to pop up

Beyond that, my infinity kappas are lovely

Any help is apprciated

Have you tried a different signal source to see if the same problem occurs? Or even unplugging it?

It could be that the attenuation on the pocket pc is not high enough.

did that too.

its not the pocket pc, it plays fine. Its an actuall radio station. NitemaxMark had an interesting theory that my wiring may be acting like an AM antenna and since i had to turn up my gain, i may be getting ghost sounds, but it was hip hop and pop songs. I will tryto listen in for the sation, but i kinda drained my battery cause i went inside....sooooooo...i will try again when i get a jump!
