2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT Issue

The rear speakers on my grand am seem to cut in and out at random times....they will work one day, the next day they wont. I have an idea that i have a frayed wire somewhere, but i cant find any information pertaining to my issue on the web. i was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what my problem could be and how i may be able to fix it.
