I have a Alpine CDM 7854 installed in my 98+ s10. I bought a JVC KD LH300 with out a manual. My question is do I need a different harness? What do I need to install it in regards to harness's etc?

It depends on how the Alpine, that is in there currently, was installed. If they used an adapting harness then you dont need to get anything else except for connectors. If they cut the factory harness then you are in for a real treat.
