2 subs on 2 channels amp

Hello i have a kenwood KAC-Q62 amp with the following specs :
5 Band Equilization
High pass filter
2 OHM load capability
(4 OHM) 40W × 2 (20~20kHz, 0.8% THD)
(2 OHM) 55W × 2 (1kHz, 0.8% THD)

And i have 2 Kenwood Db+ 800W 4Ohms subs
What is my best setup ?
Should i wire each sub to one channel and thats it or you got any other openions ?
One more thing should i set my amp to LPF or should i disable it ?

wow man...you need a more powerful amplifier for even one of those subs...

look up a term "underpowering". you will fry your amp and possibly damage your subs...

Ya seriously! That will be a serious load for that amplifier. You are sentencing it to death. You need at LEAST a true 200w and that should be PER sub. I am running 2 subs each with its own 1000w amp. Now I know thats expensive overkill, but i had the money at the time. Your amps should ALWAYS be bigger than the subs "watts wise". So do your amp a favor and hook it to your front dash / door speakers. You will put it to its intended use, and your system will last MUCH MUCH longer, as well as sound better.

BTW: You can pick up a decent old model Lanzar Optidrive for less than a dollar a watt.

Well i got this amp on my door speakers and they got fried

they were the ford stock speakers.
I've been running this amp with both subs for like 6 months now and nothing happened , it just cut off few times before coz i was using my stereo for like 3 hours continous.
I have another 4 channel amp but 2 of its channels are not working .. may be i can use this for my subs and the kenwood amp for my door speakers .. the other amp is 450W 4 ohms..
btw i have one more question
I had 2 speakers on the same enclosure of the 2 amps but they were disconnected and after 6 months i noticed screeching noise and i found out that the subs are moving the cone of the speakers and when the cone moves it's making this noice because this speaker got wet few weeks ago.
Is there any hope that i can fix this speaker ?
I know it's not wise to have speakers with subs at the same enclosure but that's how i got them used and now i seperated them.

wow man...i have no clue what you just said...but you can always go to your local car audio shop (not best buy or Circuit City) and have them look at your equipment...

the speakers definately shouldnt be attached to the same box as the sub unless you have a way to block the sub from the speaker via a wall inside the box....know what i mean?

Wet speaker = trash. Don't use. Will fry amp. Notice the punctuation. Screeching usually means toasted voice coils.

Amps WILL always destroy old OEM speakers. Unless you have some super premium sound system in a new'ish' car.
