Background:
I have modified my H701 to accept coaxial digital (just removed the optical to electrical converter in the H701)
When using SB X-fi coaxial out in 48kHz mode I get crackles now and then in the sound. When using "audio creation mode" and bit perfect out there is NO crackling (playing 44.1kHz, 16bit audio)
Problem:
I have now bought a USB to SPDIF converter

I guess the unit uses 48kHz and I have tried to get winamp to output bit perfect sound w/ no luck. Is there others that have problem w/ H701 and 48kHz sample rate?
