How do I take out my JVC head unit?

I have an aftermarket JVC head unit in my car. I have taken of the face panel and using the metal key things that came with the head unit I have tried to pull it out. When i put the keys in and pull, the headunit doesnt move, or the keys jus slide back out!

Am I doing something wrong? If yes how do I take it out? I have benn trying for a while now and I cant work out how to do it :S

key's are not always ther to pull on, but simply to undo the lockmaganism. Insert the keys again, and than pull on your head.

no, thats suppost te say in its place. Maybe you need te wigle the metal key's a bit, so they undo the locking magenism. You can feel a difference in resistance in them.

I had a Sony HU with a similar setup. The keys for mine had to be inserted a certain way. Did you try turning the key around so the side that was facing away from the HU would face towards the HU?

They are easy to put back in. Normaly theer is a part of metal of the case that is bent zo it jams and so holds it in its place. I had mine done with a screw (thats stronger)

If it comes out with pulling gently, there are no problems. But if you need a lot of force, don't
