Speaker Wiring Questions

Well i know this question has been asked multiple times, but i still need some help on an issue. Now the headunit i have in my car has its front and rear outputs and also one subwoofer output. I want to hook up 2 subwoofers to that one subwoofer line and im not sure how to do it. Should i split before a 2 channel amp and run that single line through both channels, or should i split it after a mono amp and run it to the two subs. Also should i wire in series or parallel. I havnt purchased any subs or amps yet so i want to know whats the best way to go before i do

sub out to your amp, then from your amp you power both subs. you have to pick your amp and subs before we can tell you how to wire them.

Well i would like to know whats best to know what to look for. I have somewhat of an understanding of series and parallel, and im pretty sure that if i wire up two 4 ohm sub woofers to an amp in parallel, the amp has to be able to support 2 ohms right?
