Sound Blaster 24-bit issues

I'm not really sure this is the appropriate place to ask this question, but here goes...

I own a 2003 Mustang with the Mach 460 sound system. It has 4 subs and 4 tweeters (two of each in the front and rear). When I built my CarPC, I used all three output jacks on my sound card. The first jack goes to the front tweeters via a 350 watt amp, the second goes to the rear tweeters via the same amp, and the third goes to the subs.

The problem I'm having is with the subs. Each channel from the third jack goes to either the front or rear subs via their own respective (factory) amps. The only way I can get the sound card to use the third jack is by setting it to 5.1 and upmixing it (CMSS). Obviously this is not ideal since it treats the front subs as a center, effectively eliminating my front subs, and instead playing only muffled highs through them. Additionally, Dolby Digital sound is even worse since I loose all sound that would otherwise come from the center... which seems to be mostly speech.

Of course, Creative's software is built for the perfect idiot and absolutely will not let me dictate what channel does what. kXProject is out, as it is not compatible with my sound card.

So. My question is this: What options do I have?

Simply buy a y-splitter and split the one for sub. Leave the center blank if your not using it. Thats pretty much the only way. It has to be on 5.1..... 4.1 doesnt work in the car enviroment for what we want to do.
