Help! Factory audio not working...

I sure hope someone has an answer. I have been on 2 Lexus forums posting this same problem for a week with no replies. I bought a 1993 Lexus ES300 in great condition last week. Here is the problem. The factory radio turns on, but there is no sound. I have searched the web for this problem with no result.

This car has a factory head unit, factory amp (under right seat), factory CD changer (trunk), as well as numerous factory speakers.

There IS power to the head unit (at least the LCD etc. is working) as well as the CD changer.

I have noticed a couple of things that might help. The electric antenna is staying up (radio on or off), and also if you turn the volume up as high as it goes on the unit, you can just barely hear whatever is playing.

Any suggestions? I was thinking maybe a bad amp? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the amp is dead. Have you checked the fuses that power it?

Use a multimeter to check voltage going into the amp and see that it is getting power.
