[SOLVED]Creative - Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Hibernate Problems!!!

I thought I didn't have any problems with this usb sound card but it turns our i was wrong.

Ok here is my problem
When i resume from hibernate, only after complete power loss, it takes too long to initialize the sound card so centrafuse doesn't recognize it and I can't hear anything or manipulate volume unless I restart centrafuse. I've tried all of creative's crap drivers and i always get the same result. If i use the base drivers that are in windows then it initializes quickly but i can't control the volume. Has anyone noticed this? Does anyone have a solution?

I think i have found a soluton. If anyone else is having this problem just go into audio control panel and changed the USB speed to full speed instead of high speed and that should fix the problem.

Have your tried the beta driver by Creative for this device?
Your solution works!

However, you can only have 48KHz sampel rate instead of 96KHz. Am I right?
Does that make any difference for you? For me, since I am not a Pro. in this, I can barely hear the difference.

PS. most of my songs come in FLAC (avg. 800Kbps 44KHz)

Yea u can only use 48khz. I haven't gotten full sound in my car yet so i dunno what the diff will be. I tried the beta drivers and they do stop the BSOD but still take forever for the USB card to turn on. Centrafuse just freaks out and doesn't let u adjust the volume. I've only found one solution so far so i guess 48khz will have to do.

I came up with one solution. Since I am using a laptop as my CARPC, I use stand-by instead of hibernation. In that case, the battery of laptop still provide power to the system, and the X-Fi is ok.

I can still have 96KHz, and wake up from stand-by is no problem at all.

PS. I tested my battery last night, found it only consume 8% for 8 hours. I use my car on a daily basis, so guess the battery is long enough.

I have a ITPS that can shut down my power supply after car-off for 120secs. In that case I have no worry about the laptop to eat up my car battery.

By the way, since the latest RR supports Foobar2000, I switched from Winamp to Foobar. And I still leave Creative Control Panel as the equalizaer control.

I tested and found Creative Control Panel gives better sound quality than the equalizaer from Foobar. How about you?
