This is not the issue related to X-Fi. coz same card works perfectly with my Old D201GLY mobo. 15-20 seconds to XP screen.
It is definitely mobo's USB controller issue. same issue in D945GCLF2 too.

yeah, It;s definitely related to the intel d945xxx, as the hang happens before the bios splash even pops up.

this was why i originally thought it was a issue with the x-fi-- as soon as most of my usb devices are unplugged/disabled in bios, it gets to the windows loading screen within 5 seconds.

maybe i missed it, but could anyone with a x-fi on a different board chime in on their boot/post times?

coz When I Tested it on D201GLY. Mobo Post up just fine. under 30 seconds i am on the XP screen.

I was even thinking about upgrading the board to intels dg 45ID media board which has on board audio that HD 7.1. Any of you guy know anything about how good of sound with the HD onboard sound? here a link to the board http://www.intel.com/products/deskto...D-overview.htm
