those two items you have got will go together just fine

what is your head unit if you have one?

as for subs, most people hate sony subs, how ever i had the original penta12" and it was just fine for me

as far as it goes the 1200w 12" sony red is fine with a 300-450 watt monoblock amp, which should be able to give you ample bass for 300ish dollars

edit: 300AUS$ looking at the sony amps they look very over priced but on a budget i would get http://www.sony.co.nz/products/produ...s/xsl126p5.jsp and look for a 300monoblock somewhere

the monoblock i was using was similar too http://mobile.jensen.com/jensen/Jens...=POWERPLUS1150 previous model though, this one seems like a little to much bling

ive used boss amps and **** before, so i know that they in general work and will do the job

what the guy has writing is bull**** though, no one sells an amp for being to loud, thats what the volume buttons are for

however if your on a budget, i can tell you it will work, thats about all, wont be the best ever
