jellymonster is an unknown quantity at this point
During the time when I stop driving for 4 months, and I'm sorting out all the fabrication and stuff, what I plan to do, is just have one power cable going from the battery to the boot, and the a fuse distribution block going to all my components (amps, PC, anything else).

What I need to know, is what gauge cable you guys recommend? and what brand (if matters)? i was thinking 4 gauge, but I'm probably wrong.

Also what distribution block to use? at the moment i have 3 potential things that need power. My PC, amp, and sub amp. I might add something else in the future so I want an extra slot just incase.
Did find this one : http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro..._id/10484.html
looked ok.

Thanks

4 AWG is ample, provided you also have good grounds, both at the battery-to-chassis ground (Important!!) and the component ground(s)...

I think you should have at least 8 AWG available to your amps from a distribution block. As for the PC, some 12 AWG run into one of the amp terminals will work fine...
Try to find a block that has fuse terminals.

You want a main fuse withing a few inches of the battery on the 4 AWG line, and fuses on each amp run (distro-block)...
You should also fuse the power line to the PC...you can buy little, in-line 12 AWG auto-type blade fuse holders at most autoparts stores...
