No Sub with Sound Card

I've never dealt with analog 5.1 so I might just be making a dumb mistake, but I cant get the center/sub port on my usb creative sound blaster to output any sub. I checked and the amp and subs are fine and the port works. If I select 5.1 and connect it to a normal speaker it plays (sending center output). In the creative menu I select "4/4.1" but it just wont send the .1. Any tips? I can make a short video of the creative software menus tonight if that helps...

Never mind I got it to work. It was me being a noob to 5.1 analog. The 4.1 units that are made for computers only have front and rear inputs. I just ran a cable from the 4 channel amp to the subs' and it sounds amazing now.
