Playing stereo 2 channel mp3 audio through 4 channel quad system

Hi all. this may be a simple question a please forgive if it's already been asked but I searched and search and haven't found it. Anyway, I have a 4 channel setup in my car (FL, FR, RL, RR) A normal car oem install and have 4channels coming from my PC (FL, FR, RL, RR) into my 4 channel amp and off to the speakers. I can test the speakers individually using the IDT audio app the play the correct sound from the correct speaker.

What I can't do is play my music from centrafuse (or any other app) to all 4 speakers. Just like a normal car stereo system. All I want to do is duplicate the front audio to the rear. however I don't want to use a messy Y splitter before it goes to the amp. I'd like to control the F/R fade via the PC so I can change it as and when it's needed.

Is there a way to do this? am I just being dumb?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Doug.

As long as you are only interested in having a 2 channel source, a program called Console should work great

there is also a similar program called audio mulch, but for what you currently want to do, console should be easier to use. For the record, I am finding that audio mulch does better for audio effects processing, and console is a great, but more basic version.

Basically, you would need ASIO4ALL, and console to get started- a4all would be so that you can have all the outputs you need to send Audio to, and console would be the program that you would use to send the audio to all 4outputs. To adjust the level of the signal in console, right click and hold in the middle of the 'wire' going to the output that needs adjustment, and drag down

I know this is a little confusing at first, and I am really trying NOT to write a whole book on the subject, so download asio4all, and the demo of Console, and post any questions you have on how to set it up.
