Exclamation Question about my set up

Hi, I just installed an addition to my current system. The addition was 2 12" subs with a 400w amplifier giving 200w to each sub. Now I have gotten it all working right, but the problem I am having is with my Alpine 9825 receiver. The problem I am having is that I was hearing all the sound through all the speakers as it should have been, but I disconnected the battery because I was doing trying not to run it down with my doors open, and now the sound is only coming out of the subwoofers after I reconnected it, and the in car speakers are not playing anything. I have tried fiddling around with the controls on the head unit, but can't seem to figure it out. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this problem and could give me some advice, as I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm just about to take my car to best buy to have them look at it, but if anyone has any tips or anything I will go try them asap to save myself some money. Thanks.

It sounds like you are powering the speakers with the head unit, with no external amplifier. Most head units have a setting to disable the internal amplifier, make sure the internal amp is enabled.

Yes, I know, I have tried turning the internal amp on the head unit on and off with no results. I took my car to best buy and they told me it was 80$ an hour for troubleshooting, so I told them no. The guy there said it may be grounding out somewhere, which I later found out at home that it was. I can't have my head unit in all the way yet until I find out where it is grounding out behind it. But thanks for the response and the help.
