Sj, you're right. I still consider myself a n00b as well. Sorry AZ, just got a little steamed about your posts. Sj's right.

Also: Sj, didn't even have to look at your name to know who posted it. I think the words "let's have a beer" tipped you off.

ok ok, my bad. i admit, that was pretty stupid. i'm just getting fed up with forums in general becoming places of needless banter and destructive criticism. and here i am.... sheesh. i usually keep things clean, so i apologize. cool??? ok...

on a somewhat similar note, i spent half the day at work reading through the phillies message board. talk about banter!!! those folks are just downright dirty. nevertheless, i love philly and the fans.

and to lgbr, running my audio into an amp would be ideal....IF i had the money. a new amp calls for new speakers, but even more so in my case. i've got a bose factory system and everything (amp + speakers) runs at 2 ohms. unfortunately, a new amp simply wouldn't cut it since most run at 4 ohms. but if no aux input solution comes about for my system, this will be the only viable solution. time to start saving up...

I bought a crunch powerzone. cheap, handles a 2 ohm load. Just so you know you're not necessarily out of options.

A new amp calls for the amp, speakers, wiring kit, fuses, and time to run all of it.

Bottom line, everything comes down to cash. =\
