FM Radio and Cell Phone
My Nokia 6800 has a freakin FM Radio in it.. I wonder if I can hook that to the Carputer and use it for my radio? I don't listen to radio much anyway - but it would be funny for the novelty factor.

try splicing one of those headsets that plug into your cell phone, shouldn't be hard.

lol I have one of those phones also they are so cool becuase of the flip out keyboard I mean I can actually naturally reply back to Instant Message's people send me on AIM instead of freakin playing the number game....
for FM acutally reception is damn good, you have to have it plugged into a headset and it won't play it through loudspeaker prob could be hacked if you opened it but I have yet to try that. It won't let you switch to FM unless it detects a headset plugged into it! It will do Stereo FM also....
as for the FM to car It would work if you spliced the wire and ran it through your Line in on your sound card but I don't see why anyone would go through all that to play FM channels.

I have an ngage. Fm reception is pretty good. But it needs the headset connected. The headset wire doubles as the antenna for the radio.
you can probably hack it to not need an earpiece, but the reception wwould suck

Its because our parents never let us play enough lego, so we work it out as adults by taking everything apart and connecting them all up

I can't wait till the car manufacturers start making cars with radios in them and not these dumb carputers that can't do anything so we don't have to hack apart our cars just to listen to the radio. Wait... Or is it the other way around. What was this thread about again?

When you are listening to the radio on your phone, does it go against your online time?
