BASS Shakers ???

I was looking around the internet for stuff and came across these little things... http://www.hometechwonders.com/index...ROD&ProdID=270 they say that they convert bass from your head unit into vibrations, and are to be mounted underneither your seats...anyone ever try these or anything like this. It seems like a cool idea, but im not sure how good it would work.

Yes, when I get a chick in the car for the first time, I go "Would you like a back massage?" and hit the bass.

Think I'll ever get a girlfriend?

They go in the seat...that would make things with the girls a bit more interesting ....dont you think?

PS...not all of us have huge subs that can shake the car...some only have 8 (or 10...cant remeber) inchers....maybe with these i can pretend...

they're ok

The shakers are great if setup properly and if you can't fit a 10" sub somewhere in your car.

I have a small z3 convertible...I tried 3 sub scenarios (1 10" in trunk, 2 10" in trunk, 1 12" in trunk) all with sufficient voltage. But due to the solid construction of the trunk , the foot of canvas when the top is down, and interior dynamat for road noise limitations.....the subs in the trunk would never get the thump into the cabin.....never mind the 50% decrease in trunk space.

So, in these types of scenarios the base shakers are amazing. Using a thin layer of windshield adhesive, I mounted a shaker under each seat directly to the car body. With the top up or down you can definitely feel the base vibrate the seat and rattle the rear view mirror. The effect is quite sufficient.

Positive for me, negative for many others.......the base can only be felt/heard inside the car. You take two steps away and you don't hear or feel a thing.

Anyone want to buy these...I bought 2 pairs about six months ago. I was going to use a pair for my home theater and a pair for my car. Now I'm putting the carputer under the seat, and I decided to get rid of them.

They are new.
$20USD a pair + shipping.

I've updated my email. Sorry about that. I works now.

Well with 10" speakers (2 of them) and my 2000W amplifier I am quiet capable of making the thump being felt all the way to the front seats, both in the Firebird and also was able to do it in the old car which was a Camaro, nothing beats the true sound of Bass

I have a 10" in a '02 camaro (in the side part of the back well) and when I turn the bass up and put in my subwoofer mix mp3 disc it shakes pretty good.

I've suprised a lot of people when I tell them it's only 1 10", although part of it is because it's a small car and there isn't a barrier between the front and the back (ie: trunk or rear seats).

Anyway, the one sub shakes pretty good on its own. Enough to relax me when coming home from work

Someday I plan to replace it with 2 10" soloberics.

Yeah thats the beuty of 4th Gen Firebirds and is it 5th gen Camaros? They don't have any obstructions at all there, running 2 MDS 10" Audiophile basses, rebuild the entire area round the back, still keeping the stock mounting for the targa roof, so everything will still look stock when taken out, planning on putting an extra battery in the opposite side of sparewheel, proberly there where you have your bass.

These work nice if you don't have a beefy system. Most of the time you don't hear bass as much as you feel it (ie 35-40Hz). Of course this is different if you have a huge ported box "tuned" to 150Hz

I would rather use the money and buy some better speakers. A few high quality components will a lot better than twice as many low quality components.
