running directly to speakers

I know this is already been said but i guess im bad with the search function because i cant find it.

I like the idea of running my computer directly to the speakers. Now you need an amplifier to do this but what are some good amplifiers for it. Is going about it this way harder then leaving the tape deck in and throwing your pc sound through that? What is involved in putting the puter straight through the speakers?

I have a jetta 1999. I want to get rid of the tape deck and put a touchscreen there.

Easy to do with amp. Run cables from sound card (1/8" plug to RCA adapter needed) to input side of amp. Run speaker wires from amp directly to your individual speakers, or to an aftermarket adapter for hooking a steroe to your existing wiring harness. It will sound a lot better this way.

lgbr has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Go to a local sound shop and have them show you what they have. Any 4-channel amplifier will work.
