usb fm radio question..

I am in the process of designing a carputer and had a question.. I'd like to remove my head unit and replace the fm function with software that can interact with the stock antenna hooked via usb connection to the computer.. is this possible? if so can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks for not helping, I actually did and couldn't locate anything hence this post. what I am looking for is a usb fm tuner card that utilizes the stock antenna.. I've read in another post on here about a converter cable but that's as far as i got. so, any *useful* help you can provide would be appreciated

I think that the post you read re: the converter cable is your answer. That has been the most informative post I've found. Buy a USB fm tuner, hook it up to the converter cable/adapters, and you're set.

D-Link DRU 100, about 18$ on Ebay. Reception is supposed to be bad but there are ways of improving this. I have one and am waiting to install it in my car.... Where is this cable converter of whichyou speak!?
