Sound Card Help

Ok I'm working the sound right now... here's my question: How do I get proper signals to the front, rear, and sub rcas?

Sound Card: ChainTech 7.1 Specs

Plugs on the back of the card:
1 MIC in
2 Line in
3 Line Out
4 Surr Out
5 Cen/Boss
6 Back Surr
7 SPDIF

What is #5 for? and how do I use this whole SPDIF thing if that will do what I want?

If possible I want to be able to have control over fading from front to rear and side to side but I really, really want to be able to control the volume of the subs like in my old head unit. How do I set this up?

Ok so I read the manual and I'm still confused. What I have learned is that There are Two sets of jumpers... on allowing me to choose between Line Out and Speaker Out and the other alloeing me to choose between the Cen/Bass to be the Center Channel or the Bass Channel. Is this for the 7.1 setup only or can I use this under normal stereo conditions and run 1/8" wire to RCAs for Bass for the subs and which lines get the front and rears?
