Check out this post @ Slickdeals. I haven't used it nor do I plan to (I don't have a need for it) but I thought some of you might be interested.

XM Adapters are on sale for 15.00 each at xmfan.com. I bought two. You can download the software for free at the xm site. Also, you'll need an antenna as the ones on sale don't include the antenna. they do include the wires for connection.

well, I've seen them for as low as 5.00 on ebay. you have to modify the cable because the xmpcr uses a single connector. the cheap antenna's use the twin connector but it's the work of a minute to strip and connect. The antenna that is normally included with the pcr is not a very good choice for the car as it is not omnidirectional. I use another brand it cost me 40.00 but it does work well.

Go to the site they have a ton of stuff. It might be cheaper to get the whole package as it's only $47. http://www.xmfanstore.com/showproduct.php?id=xmpcr

and this:

+this

= everything you need to get xm radio for 5.00 a month

That receiver includes the unidirectional antenna. I know 'cause I bought one. I have since replaced it with the newer smaller antenna that gets a better signal. Since you will probably toss the antenna and find another, but maybe not. I think it's cheaper to "one piece at a time" it.

Any problems with the XM USB coming out of hibernate? I had to switch my GPS to serial because it wouldn't hibernate. Same problem with USB sound card, but I just bagged it and went with onboard sound. I may install SP2 as it was supposed to help out with this type of problem and see if it will work now.

Also, I saw the PCR comes with an audio cable. Do you need to hook this up to your pc for it to work (mic input on sound card) or is it just to play it through another source-like your home stereo?

the audio cable should go into your "line in" thats where mine goes. The USB cable only transfers data for control of the PCR, as far as I know. I can't have mine xm radio running when I hybernate. It will not work after restart. I have to reboot my machine at that point. The optical conversion didn't work for me but I don;t know why. I think the soundcard is to blame. It shows that it is sampling at 44KHz, but I get no audio from it. I called their tech support and there was no answer.
