I've found CD players in cars here but they're either normal HU's or carputer-related.

I'd like to just install a basic CD player with a LCD screen and controls. Is this going to be possible or will it need something like a carputer attached to it?

I was thinking just a slot-load player of sorts.

kenwood has a single cd player, no amp. check it out, let me know if you cant find it.
