I've used Rockford Fosgate and Hifonics in the past.

for the noise all audio equipment should use a common ground to reduce noise. If you have alternator whine.. Mute your radio and gun the gas if you hear it whine higher as rpms go up then either use 1 ground to fix it, or get ground loop isolators that connect to the rca's

Audiobahn A3201T 2x300 for the subs & USAcoustics 100x2 for the rear 6x9s.

I don't have any problems with noise/whine. The Audiobahn has its ground going straight to the neg terminal on the Optimas (it's only like 2 feet away), and I don't know where the USAcoustics grounds. It's under the front passenger seat (about 10-12 feet from the Optimas). There was already a crappy amp wired in there when I got the van, so I used that wiring, and I don't know where it grounds to.

CDT Audio 642HD three ways for the front and a single Dayton MKII 12" sub. Lets just say the sound is unimaginable.

I recently replaced a pretty cheap Jensen with a Phoenix Gold Octane-R 8.0:4 of the same power. This resulted in a ~15% gain in volume and a significant increase in sound quality.
