mini-itx EPIA MII-1000 built in sound card

Hi,

Im planning to ditch my HU and connect the carputer directly to an amp, but I was wondering if the built-in sound card on my ViA EPIA MII-10000 board would produce sufficient quality.....or does the sound card even affect quality if its just passing it thru to the Amp ? (bit of a newb on audio electronics unfortunatly)

Thanks

The sound card does affect quality.
Give it a try and see what you think of the sound. No cost to try this.

If you do not like the results look into a USB or PCI sound solution.

I am using on board sound and like it just fine.

Some folks will say the sound will suck.... and suggest spending money.
