Go read up on ohmage and wattage and what amps/subs to use, THEN try installing your car audio. Unless you have loads of money to waste that is..........

Arrogant c--t... well sorry mate that's how this came across...

I asked because I don't know... hence me being here and not mensa.com ...

Cheers for the other suggestions guys.

No Problem Dracos!!

We're all friends here!

Still need to sort the amp, I wanna keep it in the Rover 216 Cabriolet, but I've just ordered my xenarc and gps mouse so money's tight... but I'll be all up and running pretty soon.

I get a Frontera Sport RS on a 1999 (S) plate at the end of the month... and I've got a list of things to do to it as long as my arm!

Speaking of which... gotta go post elsewhere.

See Mods, we do split multiple questions into their proper place

chewiee, in my experience, your amp has probably shorted output transistors (dc at the output like JC-S60 said). I would recomend you have the amp serviced.

Underpowering a sub can be bad. It's rare that it will actually kill a sub but it can affect the sound quality of a sub permanantly if underpowered for long periods of time.
