New Sub Box

Alright guys, I'm going to build a new sub box. I didn't much like the one that came installed when i bought my subs, so I decided to start from scratch. First of all, I am running 2 of these:

12” EXCURSION SUBWOOFER
60 oz. Strontium Magnet
Power Handling: 500 watts RMS.
Frequency Response: 26Hz - 1kHz
Efficiency: 92.8 dB
PHAT 2” Foam Surround
Non-Pressed, Non-Transfer Paper Cone

2” 4-Layer ASV Voice Coil
Single 4 Ohm Operation
Mounting Dimensions: Depth; 5 3/8” Hole, 107/8” Diameter, 12 1/2”
MULT-CONNECT Lug Lock Terminals

With a Quantum 1000.1 (1000 watts x 1 channel @ 2 ohms). The subs are wired in a 2 ohm stable configuration.

And I need to know how big of a box i should build (Volume wise), I am thinking about putting these somewhere in the cab of my car for a little extra boom. I am not sure as to wether I want a sealed box, or if I just want to go all out loud (Bandpass box). Any suggestions?

My sub box r0xers! I bought a 10" sub with a box from Walmart, I later got a 12" Kenwood sub so I cut open a bigger hole in my box and wala! I have one rockin box.

Y'know, I'm poor enough, cheap enough, and lazy enough to possibly go with that option.

Your box:

3.3 cubic feet total (internal dimensions), divider in the middle.
One port on each side, 3in diameter by 8 inches long.

So, how much do you trust a stranger (and a newb on this foum)? Build this box and I guarantee you'll be grinning every time you turn the knob.

You will not like these speakers in a sealed box. If you've got them in one now, you really need to try the ported design above.
